This week we continued to build on the concept of Community Cleaning in return for a Food Drive.
We want to give a special thanks to Azita Milanian who sponsored the entire food drive through her US foundation CHILDREN OF ONE PLANET. We were able to clean up the pueblos of Communidad, Santa Rita, Sapal, Las Palmas and Tablado. Thanks to CHILDREN OF ONE PLANET we were able to feed 129 families. We were also able to feed hundreds of dogs and cats, as we were able to purchase 350 Kilos (almost 800 lbs) of pet food. We cannot even begin to express the gratitude that was received by these very needy families. THANK YOU Azita for your HUGE HEART. You can visit her websites at www.childreofoneplanet.org or www.danceforhopeamerica.org
More on Azita and her foundation later. Trust me it is a compelling story.

Here is the video of the food drive.
It may seem that we have an unlimited supply of funds for these food drives – but to be completely frank we are running very low on funds and are in dire need of your donations. For most of these people these food drives are getting is the only type of help they are receiving. It is hard to convey the gratitude and relief on the faces of the people receiving the help. They are really in a bind and until the airport is open for US travelers this situation will continue. If you and your company or foundation would like to sponsor a day, please reach out to me personally. AGAIN THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED, YOU ARE AWESOME.
TANK TOPS FLIP FLOPS will continue as long as funds are available. Please continue to send donations via PAYPAL or ZELLE to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are so proud to be working with Patas Y Manos. They have been organizing a full blown clean up for each of the communities that are receiving a food drive. The clean up efforts have been extremely successful with over 4 oversized dump trucks filled with all sorts of garbage from the sides of roads, empty lots and backyards. You can see the entire community is pitching in and they are filling with pride seeing their little towns shine. These folks are proud to work in exchange for help. Thanks to everyone who has donated to our FOOD DRIVES.
Here is a live video of the community clean up that occured the same day as the food drive.
Our friend Azita Milanian, the sponsor of this food drive, is President and Founder of Children of One Planet, a non-profit organization that helps orphaned children around the world. Children of One Planet is a recognized United States 501 c(3) foundation. Azita has been coming to Guanacaste, Costa Rica for 20 years, is a property owner here and whenever she comes down she brings her suitcases full of clothing or other items to give to needy people in the area. Her goal is to create a center for underprivileged children here in Guanacaste, Costa Rica to provide a safe environment for local kids to learn and flourish. Azita started her US 501c(3) foundation, Children of One Planet, after she found and saved a newborn baby buried alive in the mountains of Altadena, California on May 17, 1998. That event forever changed her life and drew her attention to the underprivileged children in the world.
The mission of Children Of One Planet is to promote the well-being, health, and education of children from all over the world. The goal is to bring awareness to the community about the dangers children and teens are facing every day.
Each year Azita’s company, Tosca Evening and Dancewear, puts on a charity dance and fashion show with all the proceeds going to her non profit foundation. Right now her fashion company is selling fashionable masks with the proceeds going toward the foundation. Check out this short video. You should really check out her company or foundation website if you want to know more about what Azita and the foundation does.
If you want to speak with Azita directly about her foundation or about partnering with her on her Costa Rica project, you can contact her via email at email@example.com or call/WhatsApp 818-960-8654.
Once again – A HUGE THANK YOU to Azita and Children of one Planet!
PLEASE KEEP THE DONATIONS COMING. We can’t do it without you.
