Who runs this site

Newsletter sign-up
If you sign up for my newsletter, your name and email address are stored by my email service (currently iContact) and used only to send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. iContact’s own privacy policy: https://www.icontact.com/legal/privacy
Contact and property inquiry forms
If you write to me through a form on this site, I receive what you typed plus your name, email address and phone number (if you gave it) so I can reply. I keep messages only as long as I need them to answer you and follow up on your inquiry.
Property listings and Map Search
The Map Search page uses Google Maps to show where properties are. When that page loads, your browser talks to Google, which sees your connection address the same as it does on any site that uses Google Maps. Google’s privacy policy covers this: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Videos
My video FAQs are hosted on YouTube and shown in “privacy-enhanced mode” (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not set tracking cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube’s (Google’s) privacy policy applies.
Fonts
Pages use fonts served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser asks Google for the font files, so Google sees your connection address, the same as on any website that uses their fonts.
Cookies
I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages get read, and which countries visitors come from. It sets a few cookies so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one. The numbers are grouped together; I don’t see who you are, and I don’t use them for advertising. You can block cookies for this site in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Apart from that, the only cookies you may see are the standard WordPress ones, and only if you log in (visitors never do). I do not run advertising trackers.
To keep automated programs from spamming the forms, they use Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs quietly in the background — there is no puzzle to solve. Cloudflare looks at signals from your browser to decide whether you are a real visitor and sends a yes-or-no answer. Cloudflare’s privacy notice: https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including my office sites. Once you leave, the other site’s privacy policy applies, not mine.
Server logs
Like almost every website, my hosting company keeps standard server logs (page requested, time, browser type, connection address). They are used to keep the site running and secure and are cleared on a normal schedule. I don’t use them to identify or profile visitors.
Your choices
You can read everything on this site without giving me any personal information. If you have signed up for the newsletter or written to me and want your information deleted, contact me by filling out the contact form and I’ll take care of it.

If the site changes, I’ll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
