Wow! I mean have you ever wanted a year to just end? Were you ever more looking forward to New Year’s Day than 2021? It seems it couldn’t come fast enough; and then just like that; it was over. It was almost surreal. Yet for as challenging and difficult as 2020 was, for so many people around the world, and especially here in our own backyard of Guanacaste Costa Rica, in many ways, it will turn out to be a legitimate blessing in disguise. It made us realize how important our family, faith and community are, as they were the ones that had our back, covered our ass, and helped pull us through: true friends never leave you out to dry.

As we all know this was a very challenging year. So many families were devastated by the economic shut downs.  So it was more important than ever, to hit a homerun on this year’s TOYS FOR TOTS. Well, let me tell you, it was a MASSIVE SUCCESS. Who needs a party? Because of so many people’s generosity, we were able to distribute over 3,000 toys here in our local communities.

Words do not even begin to express the happiness in these children’s eyes, when Santa Claus came to town. Thank you to everyone who dropped off toys at our various locations, and to so many of you who sent us money as they could not be here in person. As you can see by the photos, I had an absolute blast purchasing over 1200 toys myself. I think I am the Walmart Shopper of the year for 2020! Extra Extra Extra special THANKS for all the volunteers who made this a reality, by spending so much of their holiday time, wrapping, loading and delivering toys, even on the day of Christmas.
